The Walking Dead Season 10 Episode 14 Will Reveal How Negan and Carol Plotted Alpha's Murder

One of the most unexpected things about The Walking Dead Season 10 is undoubtedly the recent revelation that Negan and Carol had been scheming to kill Alpha all along. But how exactly did these come up with the plan in the first place? Showrunner Angela Kang has confirmed that the next episode of the current season will reveal details about their risky mission.

Kang recently spoke to Entertainment Weekly about the plot twist from Episode 12 where Negan presented the decapitated (and zombified) head of Alpha to Carol who simply commented that it took him long enough to get the job done. However, the showrunner also teased that this alliance might not work too well because of Negan.

"From the fact that Carol comes in, they clearly had a plan, and we'll explore this in episodes to come, but Negan being Negan, how do you really kind of control where he's at? And it's always important for me with that character to be true to Negan," Kang said.

The showrunner went on by explaining that although Negan might be willing to help, he's always only looking out for himself.

"Negan has a selfishness problem at the end of the day. I think he is somebody who has been trying to redeem himself, but there is that edge, and he's so interesting to me in the fact that he sometimes lives in that gray area," Kang said.

At this point, it looks like the show will be focusing on Carol and Negan considering that Michonne has just been written out of the series. Hopefully, we'll get to see them working together instead of against each other for the good of their fellow survivors.

The latest episode of The Walking Dead Season 10 will air on AMC on March 22.
