Norman Reedus shared a behind-the-scenes glimpse on the set of his upcoming new spinoff series, The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, on Instagram on his 54th birthday on January 6. The actor took fans to the streets of Paris and showed the new breed of walkers fans are about to see.

Fans will again see Reedus as the arrow-wielding Daryl Dixon in The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon after The Walking Dead ended in November 2022. Aside from the Blade II star, Andrew Lincoln, Danai Gurira, Lauren Cohan, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan will also have their own spinoffs.

A Glimpse to The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon

The behind-the-scenes image saw three walkers in a brand-new setting on the streets of Paris.

From the U.S., fans will see Daryl in Europe after waking up in France without knowing how he got there or what he is about to face.

The walkers can be seen roaming around in Paris in the snap, along with some rusty cars. His post also contains a photo of the Golden statue of Pont Alexandre III and him.

“Welcome to your new home,” Michael Rooker commented on his post as Reedus started The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon’s filming.

Daryl Dixon’s New Paris Adventure

The Walking Dead series finale saw Daryl leaving Carol (Melissa McBride) and the rest of the group as he was about to begin his new journey to find out what was happening in other parts of the world amid the zombie apocalypse.

So, in The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, he ends up in France with a new group of characters, like the religious group member Isabelle (Clémence Poésy) and the British underground nightclub owner Quinn (Adam Nagaitis).

According to ScreenRant, the show will reveal the French research laboratory Biomédicine DDMI, first seen in The Walking Dead: World Beyond, in Paris.

For starters, World Beyond featured the character of Dr. Jenner (Noah Emmerich) from The Walking Dead Season 1.

He was in touch with Biomédicine DDMI, where the walker virus was created, and a cure was nearly crafted. So, can Daryl finally find the cure everyone has longed for?
