The Suicide Squad Director James Gunn Debunks DC FanDome Leak From Reddit

The Suicide Squad is quite a while away and, barring any circumstances from COVID-19 or any other diseases out there, it's safe to assume that this movie will be coming out on August 2021. While the release date is still far off, many have assumed that we would start seeing some news on the movie thanks to a leak from Reddit that suggested a ton of cool info for DC's FanDome event, including the movie's first trailer and news from projects like Black Adam and Wonder Woman 1984.

Sadly, it seems like some of that news is false since The Suicide Squad director James Gunn has claimed that a lot of the information we see is fake. While Gunn admits that he doesn't know everything that will be in DC's FanDome, the director says he knows enough to say that some of the information shown is made up.

Honestly, it's a bit sad that a lot of this is made up since some of the news here sounds really great. While we wouldn't bet against new Wonder Woman 1984 footage or some information about Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's Black Adam movie, everything else seemed too good to be true. On a personal note, I also wanted to see a trailer for Gunn's DCEU debut since that sounds like a great time.

Gunn not knowing everything probably means there's a solid enough chance that some, but not all, of this information, is true. Let's just hope that DC's FanDome event is worthwhile since we could all use some cool information these days.

DC's FanDome event will begin on August 22.
