James Gunn'sThe Suicide Squad gets a new "In On The Action" featurette where none other than writer and director James Gunn breaking down and introducing Task Force X, and each of the actors playing the characters tease who they would be portraying and what to expect from each of them in the upcoming film.

The new featurette shows every member of Task Force X and James Gunn also shares some of his insights on the film and on every character that he proudly tells that it would bring "more DC characters than any film" has ever introduced. Every actor also got the chance to tell everyone what their character would be offering in the movie.

James Gunn himself tells that The Suicide Squad is "not really heroes." Idris Elba shared how his character, Bloodsport, got into prison by putting Superman in the ICU. Peacemaker only wanted to have peace but if it means killing, so be it, a douchey patriot as John Cena described. Margot Robbie called Harley Quinn the "catalyst of chaos," and Gunn made it sure that she would be closer to the character he loved in the comics.

We also got Rick Flag of Joel Kinnaman reveals how King Shark is stupid but kind. Polka Dot Man of David Dastmalchian had a little backstory of being an experiment gone wrong, and Ratcatcher 2 of Daniela Melchior shared how she could communicate with rats. Mayling Ng's Mongal is a super strong woman, and Captain Boomerang, as per Jai Courtney, would be the "last person you wanted to be left at the bar with."

We also see Savant of Michael Rooker, a quiet yet powerful guy. Pete Davidson's Blackguard shared that "there is nothing cooler than being in the Suicide Squad," and he even shared that his character has a purple ponytail in the comics. T.D.K. of Nathan Fillion has a hilarious power with his limbs coming off of him. As for Flula Borg's Javelin, he considers his character as the sexiest with the "blonde hair and large toothpick."

David Dastmalchian provided a wonderful insight into the characters being considered as "throwaways" who are given "incredible meaning and value." As for Viola Davis, portraying Amanda Waller, shared she liked the idea of being the anti-hero, and Peter Capaldi said that he has been "working all his life" to play his character, the Thinker, who he called cruel and decadent.

Excited to see them all? Catch The Suicide Squad in theaters and on HBO Max on August 6, 2021. Tickets are now available weeks before the premiere.
