Fans have been pitting Marvel and DC against each other for ages but despite the long-standing "rivalry" between the two properties, a lot of them have been dying to see characters from both franchises come together in a massive crossover project. As it stands, the possibility of it happening is quite slim but it looks like one actor from the DC Extended Universe is determined to knock down boundaries for it to come to fruition.
In an interview with Games Radar, Black Adam star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson shared his hopes about a massive crossover project that would feature DC and Marvel characters coming together on the big screen. He says: "I am optimistic... just my nature is optimistic. And especially when it comes to creative."
The Rock continued: "Especially when it comes to movies. And especially when it comes to the pantheon of DC superheroes and supervillains. Across the street, we have the pantheon of superheroes and supervillains of Marvel. To me, they can not only exist, but they should, in my mind, cross paths one day."

It's a wild and audacious idea for sure but considering both properties are owned by different companies right now, it would take more than just wishful thinking for it to happen anytime soon. But can you imagine how epic it would be to see the Avengers and the Justice League join forces or even go head-to-head on the big screen? It has money written all over it.
Meanwhile, Black Adam will hit theaters on October 21, 2022.
