The Rise of Skywalker Concept Art Gives Zorri Bliss a Pimp Cape

Probably one of the more fun characters to be added in The Rise of Skywalker was Poe's old flame Zorri Bliss; and while her design already looked pretty cool, some concept art reveals that she almost looked like a pimp.

This comes from concept artist Calum Alexander Watt:

Watt also had this to say about the look (via Polygon):

"When the gang boss changed to Zorii, J.J. wanted a character in the vein of Boba Fett, one who wouldn't remove her disguise but would have a mysterious charisma and have some shared history with Poe. I evolved the basic gang helmet but wanted to elevate her overall look. J.J. was drawn to the design with the elongated back, so we developed this further and further, bringing in other design elements. The precious-metal finish would add status and mark her out as the gang boss."

Though Zorri's design was fine enough in the film, I actually really prefer this look for the character. The cape just gives her a more regal feeling, and it kind of evokes that she's been in the business for a while to afford clothes that look fancy. The pet dog also feels like a ‘reverse-Chewbacca' with Zorri having a smaller sidekick rather than a tall one.

With Zorri having a short fight with Rey and the gang, I think removing the cape makes her move a lot better. What's more, she looks to be on even ground with Poe when they have their talk. Either way, if they ever decided to bring her back down the line, I hope they manage to use this look in some way.
