Marvel fans might be expecting the Quantum Realm to play a role in Avengers 4, but it looks like the alternate dimension may actually play a bigger part in the Marvel Cinematic Universe once Marvel moves on to Phase 4 of the franchise.
There's been a lot of hints about the use of the Quantum Realm in the MCU – the dimension which was first introduced in Ant-Man was explored briefly in Doctor Strange and then given prominence in Ant-Man and the Wasp. Now, one of the most popular Avengers 4 fan theories online says that the Quantum Realm will be used to help reverse Thanos' dusty massacre in Avengers: Infinity War.
With so many signs pointing to the increased significance of the Quantum Realm, writer Daniel R posts on Twitter that the "Quantum Realm is the Future (of the MCU)."
Jeremy Conrad, another Marvel fan known for leaking information online, agreed with Daniel R. According to Conrad, Marvel is going to do a lot with the Quantum Realm beyond Ant-Man.
"They can just put ‘Quantum' in front of Phase 4 and call it the Quantum Phase," the leaker wrote in his post. "Ant-Man and The Wasp is just the start of many fantastic voyages into the Quantum Realm in the MCU."
While fans ought to take this new information with a grain of salt, it is possible that Marvel will put more focus on the Quantum Realm after Avengers 4. After all, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige did say that they were trying to build a cosmic universe for the franchise.
What do you think? Will we be seeing more adventures from the Quantum Realm in the future?
Avengers 4 hits cinemas May 4, 2019.
