Avengers: Infinity War Has Amazing Connection to Thor: The Dark World That No One Noticed

The best part about Marvel movies are the small details we don't notice in the background that end up playing big parts later on. Marvel Studios almost always do this on purpose, making all these easter eggs for fans to ponder about, especially when they watch these movies again to get caught up with the latest installment. One fan has been doing this and discovered a huge connection between Avengers: Infinity War and Thor: The Dark World.

When Doctor Selvig loses his mind early on in Thor: The Dark World, one of the things he does is write down a ton of information on a chalkboard about the universe and its secrets. In the film, this was played as a joke that would introduce us to the latest Stan Lee cameo. However, a fan has found one crucial element that affects Infinity War in a big way; Nidavellir.

Anyone else ever notice Nidavellir on Selvig's chalkboard in Thor: TDW?

Nidavellir is where Thor had his new Stormbreaker hammer made, with the help of a troll, Groot, and Rocket. This hammer ended up being stronger than Mjolnir and could have killed Thanos had Thor gone for the head. As fans can see, Nidavellir was written in this chalkboard before Infinity War and Thor: Ragnarok, which is an amazing easter egg.

It's a shame that Thor: The Dark World is such a bland Marvel movie, taking no risks and relying heavily on the MCU formula that some people have grown tired off. Not only does the movie have one of the worst villains in the MCU, which is saying a lot, but it was probably the most predictable film in the entire MCU. At least the sets were pretty.

Both Avengers: Infinity War and Thor: The Dark World can be purchased now on Blu-Ray. Avengers 4 will hit theaters on May 3, 2019.
