The Powerpuff Girls’Fourth Member Is An Older Sister Named Bliss

Cartoon Network surprised fans when the studio announced earlier this month that a fourth member would be joining the Powerpuff girls in its reboot of the popular 90's animated series, The Powerpuff Girls.

The network decided to shake things up by adding a new recruit to the team, and though a lot of fans thought that the character might be related to the team's deformed experiment, Bunny, it turns out that this newbie is actually Blossom, Buttercup and Bubble's older sister, Bliss.

Cartoon Network has just recently introduced the Powerpuff girl's fourth member in its five-part movie event titled, The Powerpuff Girls: The Power of Four.

The long-lost older sister of the original Powerpuff trio, Bliss is the result of an earlier experiment by Professor Utonium in which he tries to make the "perfect little girl" by mixing sugar, spice, and everything nice with Chemical W instead of Chemical X.

The only problem with Bliss is that she loses control of her powers whenever she feels angry or frightened. The older Powerpuff girl decides to leave Townsville after blowing up the house during one of her tantrums and then later returns to live with her family in The Power of Four.

But that's not the only shake-up. The Power of Four also reveals that Bliss used to be best friends with Mojo Jojo back when he was the professor's assistant, adding depth to her backstory. We wonder what kind of kind of shenanigans Bliss, Blossom, Buttercup and Bubbles are going to run into as Cartoon Network continues its Powerpuff Girls reboot.
