In case you missed it, Mulan has been delayed yet again due to more COVID-19 cases being reported around the country. This shouldn't be a huge surprise anymore but the pushback is causing Marvel fans to worry about another film that should premiere in August. So is it possible that The New Mutants will have to find a new release date all over again?

It was previously reported that Disney has decided to move the premiere of Mulan to August. The live-action adaptation of the animated classic was already scheduled for release on July 24. However, the House of Mouse chose to push the premiere back after Warner Bros. opted to move its own film Tenet.

But how will this affect The New Mutants? Some believe that Disney will decide not to release two movies in August alone. With Mulan being the bigger property, there is a chance that the X-Men spin-off film will get bumped out of August to yet another release date.

So are we even surprised at this point? Fans who have been waiting for The New Mutants for years aren't even fazed anymore.

For now, The New Mutants is still scheduled for release on August 28 while Mulan will premiere a week earlier on August 21. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
