Anthony Mackie Says The Falcon and The Winter Soldier is a 6-Hour MCU Movie

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier is already one of the most highly anticipated shows of the year and people have high expectations. But what do we need to know about the Marvel Cinematic Universe series? Anthony Mackie assures fans that the Disney+ show will be at the same level as the MCU movies, except it will be much, much longer.

Mackie recently spoke to Variety where he confirmed that The Falcon and the Winter Soldier was filming just like an MCU flick.

"We're shooting it exactly like a movie," he said. Mackie then explained that they filmed the episodes for the series in a similar way.

"The way in which we were shooting, it feels exactly like we were shooting the movie cut up into the show," Mackie said. "So instead of a two-hour movie, a six or eight-hour movie."

That's great news for Marvel fans who have been missing what it's like to see an MCU movie. Needless to say, we can't wait for the show to premiere later this year.

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier will bring back Mackie's Sam Wilson and Sebastian Stan's Bucky Barnes. They will be joined by Daniel Bruhl as Baron Zemo and Emily VanCamp as Agent 13. New addition Wyatt Russell has already been confirmed to portray John Walker aka US Agent.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is expected to resume production soon. The series is then set to premiere on Disney+ by the end of the year.
