The Misfit of Demon King Academy II Will Restart From Episode 1 This July

After getting hit with a delay earlier this year, The Misfit of Demon King Academy II finally announced that it will restart its broadcast this July.

Specifically, it was revealed that The Misfit of Demon King Academy’s second season will air beginning from Episode 1 on July 8, 2023.

For fans who watch the show on streaming platforms, they can expect the next proper episode to release in mid-August.

The Misfit of Demon King Academy II: One of the Affected Shows in Winter 23 Fiasco

Winter 23 wasn’t a season to remember for the anime industry. This is because there were lots of shows that got hit with big delays.

For instance, Aniplex’s NieR: Automata Ver1.1a was delayed early into its run, and now, it has yet to get a return date.

Another anime that was struck by a huge delay is Ayakashi Triangle. Much like NieR, this ecchi gender-bender anime has yet to air its seventh episode and beyond.

Also hit with a major delay is The Misfit of Demon King Academy II, which only got up to the sixth episode back in February.

After the show stopped its broadcast, fans had to wait a while before more news was revealed.

Fans of Misfit were at least treated to an official July return announcement back in March. Though at the time, no proper start date was revealed yet.

Still, at least fans of Misfit had a release window to look forward to unlike NieR and Ayakashi Triangle fans.

The Misfit of Demon King Academy II Will Finally Come Back on Summer 23

Finally, The Misfit of Demon King Academy II was announced to return on July 8, 2023. With this, the series essentially becomes a Summer 23 anime.

This situation is similar to Kubo Won’t Let Me Be Invisible, which was delayed after airing halfway through the season.

It then got a restarted broadcast, though its return was in the Spring 23 season.

Because of the show’s restart, The Misfit of Demon King Academy II will likely release Episode 7 on August 19, 2023.

Aside from Winter 23 shows, even some Spring 23 titles got delayed for a bit.

For instance, shows like Gundam: Witch from Mercury and Oshi no Ko were hit with one-week delays.

Thankfully, it seems that there won’t be a repeat of Winter 23 as most shows of Spring are ending later this month.
