Production for The Matrix 4 is finally underway in San Francisco. It's been around 20 years since the first movie made its debut and it's been a while since fans last saw Keanu Reeves as Neo, until now.
Thanks to a set video from a fan (via Keanu Planet) on Twitter, we're now able to get our first look at Reeves in reprising his iconic role. While the actor is yet to sport his trademark leather garb and sunglasses, Reeves is wearing some casual clothes for the scene, with his long hairstyle, which is similar to his John Wick look.
Another set video also made the rounds online from keanu_theclub on Instagram, which shows Lana Wachowski giving directions to the actor on set. Photos of Carrie-Anne Moss and Reeves filming in Chinatown also surfaced.
Aside from Reeves and Moss, Jada Pinkett would also be reprising her role for the upcoming movie. Newcomers to the franchise include Jessica Henwick, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Neil Patrick Harris, Jonathan Groff, and Toby Onwumere.
The Matrix 4 is set for release on March 21, 2021. For now, fans still have plenty of time to check out some set videos and photos, with more likely to come in the following weeks.
