The Marvels Producer Promises an Avengers-Type Team for the Main Heroes

A lot of MCU fans have been looking forward to the upcoming film The Marvels. Not only because it will serve as a sequel to Captain Marvel, but it will also feature a team-up between Carol Danvers, Monica Rambeau, and Kamala Khan with the latter making her big-screen debut.

So far, Marvel Studios remains mum about the plot details of the film although fans are already excited to see Kamala Khan teaming up with her favorite hero Captain Marvel. There are also reports that the film is going to be a cosmic adventure for the main heroes.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Marvel Studios president and The Marvels producer Kevin Feige teased what they have in store for the film where he claimed that the team-up between the three heroes in the film will be similar to the first Avengers film when the six heroes were teaming together.

"That's what the entire movie is about. There are fun cosmic elements to it. Marvel comic fans will recognize elements of the Kree-Skrull war. And it's picking up directly after the end of Captain Marvel 1, not in timeline but in story. We also do that in our upcoming Disney+ series Secret Invasion, and those are two very different follow-ups to that movie," he said.

"Tonally, they couldn't be more different. But there's something immensely powerful about seeing Monica and Kamala and Carol together in a frame. To me, it's only akin to the first Avengers movie and seeing the six of them together in a frame. It's chill-inducing. They're so great together, and they all have different histories with one another."

Feige also compared Kamala Khan's team-up with the other heroes to Tom Holland's Peter Parker when he worked together with Tony Stark when he was introduced in Captain America: Civil War.

He added, "The great thing about Kamala in her show, and now in this movie, is that she's not unlike Tom Holland's Peter Parker in Civil War. She can't believe she's with these other heroes, and can't believe that she finds herself in these places. And that's fun because we want to be that. I want to be that."

It is certainly exciting to hear these three heroes team up in the upcoming film, especially knowing that Kamala Khan is a fan of the characters that she will be working with. We definitely can't wait to see what their dynamic will look like and what it could also mean moving forward in the MCU.
