The live-action adaptation of The Last of Us has finally found its Joel, in a very familiar face. The HBO Max television series adaptation will be seeing The Mandalorian's Pedro Pascal in the role of Joel.
Pascal will be starring in the HBO Max series alongside Game of Thrones co-star Bella Ramsey. In the Game of Thrones series, she is known by fans as Lyanna Mormont. She will play the role of Lyanna Mormont.
The two Game of Thrones stars will be reuniting with showrunner Carolyn Strauss who also worked on Game of Thrones. She will be the executive producer for The Last of Us television series.
Pascal has become a major name in Hollywood. He has experience working for major franchises and companies. He has starred on HBO's Game of Thrones, Netflix's Narcos, DC's Wonder Woman 1984, and Disney+'s The Mandalorian.

Here's Joel's full character description:
"Tormented by past trauma and failure, [he] must trek across a pandemic-ravaged America, all the while protecting a girl who represents the last hope of humanity."
TheLast of Us is a popular video game developed by Naughty Dog. The story takes in modern civilization where "the Infected" which can be considered as zombies in pop-culture has ravaged the world. Joel is a survivor who lost his daughter and was hired to smuggle Ellie out of an oppressive quarantine zone.
It all started as a small job for Joel but soon became a brutal and heart-wrenching journey. The two travel across the US, trying to survive from both the Infected and the human enemies.
