The Mandalorian star Gina Carano can't seem to catch a break when it comes to controversy. Following her voter fraud claim from a few weeks back, the Cara Dune actress is once again in hot water for her divisive alt-right views and her true sentiments regarding the wearing of masks amid the COVID-19 pandemic, something she apparently finds unnecessary.
The former MMA fighter has drawn flak for her stance regarding recent issues and things went from bad to worse in a hurry. Twitter users immediately took the opportunity to launch the #FireGinaCarano movement, urging Disney and Lucasfilm to have her removed from The Mandalorian. Now, instead of coming clean and pandering to her haters, Gina is still pretty firm about her beliefs and she's now throwing shade at her growing list of critics.
In a new Twitter post, Gina dropped the F-bomb on her detractors by posting a shady clip from the show Peaky Blinders. "Look at me. Fuck these people. Fuck 'em," a part of the clip says. Although she didn't actually say it directly, her point definitely comes across. This isn't the first time Carano fired back at her critics on social media and the Star Wars actress has had quite the reputation amongst social media users of being a feisty individual online.
Personally speaking, I gotta say that I truly admire the guts of Gina for standing up for what she believes in, even if she gets vilified for it but I also can't help but wonder if the folks over at Disney and Lucasfilm will be forced to intervene at some point and hold her back from saying controversial stuff on social media. I mean, at the end of the day, they wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of fan backlash especially now that cancel culture seems to be a hot trend.
Gina Carano is set to appear in The Mandalorian Season 2, already streaming on Disney+.
