The finale of Star Wars: The Mandalorian's first season saw a massive cliffhanger with Giancarlo Esposito's Moff Gideon emerging from his crashed TIE Fighter, revealed to be in possession of the darksaber. It's clear that the character's mission to capture Baby Yoda for mysterious reasons is yet to be over, and the actor teases that what's to come in Season 2 is certainly going to pack a punch.

In a recent interview with Variety, Esposito was asked about future seasons of The Mandalorian. While he has yet to see episodes of the sophomore season, he has been in touch with series creator Jon Favreau. "I haven't seen any of 2 yet," he revealed. "But it's going to be power-packed."

The actor says in Favreau's mind, he's "probably already writing" the third season of the Star Wars series. " I'm excited for the audience to see this," Esposito added.

Needless to say, fans can't wait to learn more about Moff Gideon, especially since the character is revealed to have his own darksaber. Esposito says Moff is "certainly willing" to do his "own dirty work," and as exciting as it is to know about his plans, it's certainly terrifying to find out what'll possibly happen to The Child.
