The first season of Star Wars: The Mandalorian featured a massive cliffhanger in its final episode, with Moff Gideon emerging from his crashed TIE Fighter, seemingly safe and sound, and in possession of the darksaber. The scene certainly packs a punch and creates a mystery about the villainous character. Of course, details about the show are kept under wraps, but actor Giancarlo Esposito teases what to expect from his character going into the second season.
"Moff is very different from Gus Fring," Esposito told Variety, talking about what makes his character in Better Call Saul different from his Star Wars role. "He wields his own darksaber. He does his own dirty work and is certainly willing to."
The actor says Moff Gideon is "much more volatile" and that he's more of a "warrior." Though he didn't go further into detail, Esposito teased that this information could already tell us some things about the villain in the second season, seemingly indicating that this is a big part of Moff.
Of course, fans can look forward to more scenes of the character wielding the famed darksaber, reiterating that he has already broken several props of the weapon while filming. "I've gone through two, three? Three and a half, I think I've broken already," he said. "But I go at it. Like, I go at it. I've broken few of them to the point where the [prop] guys, they love me." The props men even told the actor that they only had one more prop left for him to use.
It looks like there are exciting fight scenes in store for the character and fans can't wait to see what's to come in season two of The Mandalorian.
