If you tuned in to the latest episode of The Mandalorian Season 2, chances are you were blown away when it was finally confirmed that Rosario Dawson is playing the live-action version of Ahsoka Tano. However, it looks like the Daredevil star also has a lot of respect for the actress who originated the role in Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Dawson has just shown support for Ashley Eckstein and her business venture.
Eckstein, who provided the voice of Ahsoka in The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels, has long been working on her fangirl clothing line Her Universe. In her recent Instagram post, Eckstein promoted a new Ahsoka top along with a hopeful message.
"It's #TanoTuesday and I'm thrilled to share that our Tano long sleeve shirt is back in stock on @heruniverse. I also wanted to share my gratitude to everyone during this week of Thanksgiving." Eckstein wrote. "A friend of mine taught me this year that 'The core of wisdom is to overcome self-deception.' Let that sink in... Our mind can make us believe that we are invisible. One of the worst feelings in the world is to feel invisible. We all just want to be visible and be needed. I feel like we can all relate to this, especially this year."
"If you are feeling this way, please know that I see you. You ARE visible and you ARE needed. Ahsoka said, 'When you find people who need your help you help them, no matter what.' I am SO thankful for our incredible community and for all of your help and your support. You always make me feel visible and my heart is eternally grateful. I hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving and remember #AhsokaLivesInAllOfUs," Eckstein concluded.
It's an awesome message and it looks like Dawson agrees with her fellow Ahsoka actress. The Defenders star immediately shared Eckstein's post in her Instagram stories so her own followers could support Her Universe.
We're loving the idea that the two Ahsoka actors have mutual respect for each other. Hopefully, we'll get to see them together soon.
Dawson debuted as Ahsoka in the fifth episode of The Mandalorian Season 2, which is now streaming on Disney+.
