The Mandalorian Season 2 finally answered arguably one of the most, if not the most important question we've had since the first season — what is Baby Yoda's real name? We all know by now that it's Grogu and while calling the Force-wielding fellow by his real name may take a lot of getting used to, it's certainly not an issue for folks like Jon Favreau who recently came out to reassure fans that it's okay if we prefer to call him "Baby Yoda".

Turns out, the name Grogu was actually conceived as early as the show's first season but according to lead actor Pedro Pascal, he only learned about Baby Yoda's given name upon receiving Season 2's script. Talking about it during a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Pascal said: "I did know [before the episode]". He would later reveal that he found out about Grogu "at the start of season 2 when I got the scripts for season 2."

We still don't know Grogu's fate come The Mandalorian Season 3 but I'm pretty positive he'll eventually make his return in one of the episodes. I mean, no offense to Din Djarin and the rest of the characters in the hit Star Wars spinoff show but Baby Yoda is definitely the star of the series and it would be a bad move for them to remove him. Now, it'll be interesting to see what kind of shape and state he'll be in should he return for Season 3. Could we see a more mature and powerful Grogu now that he's under the tutelage of Luke Skywalker? I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
