Star Wars: Mark Hamill and Billie Lourd Pay Tribute to Carrie Fisher on Death Anniversary

It has been four years since Carrie Fisher passed away and her loved ones never forget to honor her memory. Fisher's Star Wars co-star Mark Hamill has paid a simple tribute to the late actress while her daughter Billie Lourd shared a never-before-seen photo of her mother along with a heartfelt message.

Hamill may be known for always joking around on Twitter but his tribute to Fisher was simple and straight to the point. Check it out below.

"#AlwaysWithUs," Hamill wrote along with a broken heart emoji.

While the image that Hamill shared is just a screenshot of the tribute to Fisher in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, Lourd's Instagram post shows the actress with her mother.

"Sending my love and strength to everyone out there that's missing a loved one they've lost. Especially those of you who have lost someone during this crazy year. You're not alone," Lourd wrote.

Not surprisingly, Hamill and Lourd are not the only ones who remembered Fisher on her death anniversary. Thousands of fans have flooded social media with messages for the late actress with the hashtag #CarrieFisher. In addition to that, there were reminders about the importance of mental health.

Fisher passed away from a sudden cardiac arrest on December 27, 2016, four days after she experienced a medical emergency during a transatlantic flight from London to Los Angeles. She was 60 years old. The last movie she worked on was Star Wars: The Last Jedi, which was released a year after her passing.
