It looks like the dust has finally settled months after Disney unceremoniously ousted Gina Carano from the Star Wars franchise but still, there are people who can't stop buzzing about the former mixed martial arts fighter and star of Lucasfilm's The Mandalorian who was fired for her "irresponsible" use of her social media platform. Just recently, one of Carano's co-stars from the show Emily Swallow broke her silence on the actress' controversial firing and even pointed out that cancel culture is to blame for what happened.

At a recent convention appearance, Swallow spoke very highly of Carano and her work ethic, and judging by her choice of words, The Armorer actress is obviously favoring the controversial star.

Carano has seemingly moved on from the issue after months of back-and-forth drama with the House of Mouse. In fact, she no longer talks about Star Wars on her social media platforms and has also taken a break from throwing shade at Lucasfilm and Disney. However, after Swallow's comments were made public, Gina took to Twitter to express her reaction which is generally positive. Check it out here:

I guess Gina is in a pretty good place right now both personally and professionally and to be fair, it doesn't look like she's the kind of person who holds grudges. Still, it's safe to say that she'll continue to use her platform to voice her opinions regarding socio-political issues regardless of how people will take them. We've proven over the past year that she's not vying for a Miss Popular award so there's that.

Meanwhile, The Mandalorian Season 3 is expected to begin filming soon.
