The Mandalorian Star Giancarlo Esposito Possibly Joining MCU as Doctor Doom

It seems like Giancarlo Esposito is everywhere right now. In addition to playing major roles in highly anticipated shows like The Mandalorian Season 2 and The Boys Season 2, the former Breaking Bad star is the main antagonist in the upcoming Ubisoft video game Far Cry 6. But is it time for Esposito to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe? A new report suggests that Esposito is being considered for the role of Doctor Doom in a new MCU movie.

A new report from Express points out that Esposito is the perfect candidate to play Doctor Doom in the MCU. This comes shortly after the Better Call Saul actor admitted that he is interested in working on a Marvel film.

"Well there's been all these rumours about being with Marvel - I want to work with those guys. I put it out there all the time," Esposito told Entertainment Tonight. He was then quick to point out that he didn't have a hand at started speculations but his interest in Marvel is true.

"I haven't created any of those rumours, but I worked years ago with Louis D'Esposito, who's one of the guys at Marvel, back when he was doing Cotton Club and I was doing Cotton Club, he was the First AD. What they do is fantastic, and I want to do something enduring with them… I think the Marvel world would be, likely, the next step for me…" Esposito said.

Now, we're not saying that Esposito dropped a hint right there but he did mention the word "fantastic." Needless to say, it sparked speculations that he might be hoping to work on a Fantastic Four movie and could end up playing Doctor Doom. However, it is important to point out that this has not yet been confirmed so it's best to take it with a grain of salt.
