Fresh off the release of Chapter 24, new details about Season 4 are now coming to light. According to Variety, Din and Grogu's next galactic adventure will revolve around them tracking the remnants of the Empire looming on the Outer Rim.

The outlet says that New Republic Ranger Carson Teva will play a more significant role in the series, something that was subtly hinted at in the finale after Mando made a proposition to Teva about wanting to take a different route and work covertly under the government.

This could very well indicate that Paul Sun-Hyung Lee will act as Pedro Pascal's Season 4 co-lead, replacing Katee Sackhoff who was one of the central figures in Season 3. As for the project's production, Making Star Wars previously reported that cameras will begin rolling for the show in October 2023.

Bo-Katan taking the backseat in the upcoming season makes perfect sense, especially considering her arc revolving around Mandalore's rebirth was finally realized.

The idea of Pascal sharing the spotlight with other actors no longer comes as a surprise as well. If you may recall, Temuera Morrison also played co-lead in Season 2 before getting his own spinoff show.

Of course, that's not to say that the newly united Mandalorians won't play hefty roles in Season 4, and with even bigger threats set to wreak havoc in the galaxy, Mando could always use some reinforcement.

Meanwhile, All episodes of The Mandalorian Season 3 are available to stream on Disney+.
