What Happened Before The Mandalorian Season 3 Episode 2?
The Mandalorian Season 3 Episode 1, Chapter 17: The Apostate, brought in a premiere episode like no other as the return of Din Djarin and Baby Grogu marks an important adventure that the third installment of the series would run through.
It starts with an Armorer who is making a new mask and prepares for a new Mandalorian to join them. A young boy is seen in the water, dipped up to his knees as he makes a vow to never remove his helmet. However, the ritual is cut short by a crocodile ambushing them.
Paz Vista gives orders on what to do but half of the troops did not listen. Because of that, the Armorer saves one of them while Paz Vista saves the child. In time of need, Mando arrives with the kill shot.
Mando asks the Armorer for a talk in private about the Mines of Mandalore, which the latter being convinced that the Purge destroyed everything. However, as Mando shows him a chunk of crystal, the Armorer had second thoughts.
The Armorer deduces that the whole surface of Mandalore became crystallized because of the fusion rays. Mando wants to go to the planet so he could bathe in the Living Waters underneath the mines to have his exile lifted after he took off his mask.
Mando and Grorgu proceeds to Nevarro which already became an independent trade anchor and port. As they wander the streets, they noticed how much the place has improved. Most of it are from Greef Karga who is now the High magistrate.
However, a bunch of pirates cut their conversation short. With an impending attack, Mando and Greef Karga teams up.
