The Mandalorian Season 2 Has Eight Episodes Again But With a Twist

Now that The Mandalorian Season 2 has been confirmed for an October 30 release, news about the show has come like a storm from Entertainment Weekly. While we still don't know if characters from The Clone Wars or Rebels will be appearing in this Star Wars spinoff, fans don't mind that too much since most of the appeal comes from the Western-influenced adventures and good old Baby Yoda, who I still won't call The Child.

For those curious, Jon Favreau confirmed that The Mandalorian Season 2 would once again have eight episodes but he did stress that the lengths of each episode will vary even more than the first season. The first season always left fans up in the open about how long an episode would be, ranging from 20 minutes to 40 minutes and sometimes more, so that should be worth noting.

Apparently, The Mandalorian Season 2 will not be a product of overthinking, as the series will still tell self-contained stories, though will definitely have episodes focused on the mysteries that were opened from the first season. It was also noted how the title character might not even be the protagonist for every episode, which is always fun to see in shows. Will he appear to be the villain in one? Let's wait and see.

Will The Mandalorian Season 2 live up to our expectations? We'll know once it's October 30. Here's hoping that they don't overload this show with fanservice and keep it as a fun Western with fun, self-contained stories.
