The Mandalorian Season 2 Writing Credits Confirm Jon Favreau Still in Control of Mando's Story

There is little doubt that Jon Favreau was in full control of The Mandalorian in the first season, which was a good thing considering that it was a huge success. Not surprisingly, the series creator will continue being in charge of Mando's storyline as the writing credits for the Star Wars show's Season 2 episodes have been revealed.

The revelation comes from the Writers Guild of America West website which published a listing of who penned the Season 2 scripts of The Mandalorian. Like the first season, Favreau is confirmed to have written six episodes.

Interestingly, Favreau has chosen to get the same people who worked on the first season of The Mandalorian's screenplays. The list also reveals that Dave Filoni wrote the fifth season of Season 2 while Rick Famuyiwa worked on the script for the seventh episode. Incidentally, Filoni also penned the previous season's fifth episode Chapter 5: The Gunslinger while Famuyiwa collaborated with Christopher Yost in the sixth episode Chapter 6: The Prisoner.

The ratio is pretty much the same as the first season so fans are quite satisfied with the idea that Favreau knows exactly what should happen in The Mandalorian Season 2. Hopefully, we'll learn the official titles of the eight episodes soon.

The Mandalorian Season 2 will also consist of eight episodes. Although we now know who wrote the episodes, it is still unclear who will direct those episodes. For now, we can rest assured that the second season will not disappoint.

The Mandalorian Season 2 will premiere on Disney+ on October 30.
