Without a doubt, Boba Fett became one of the fan-favorite characters in the Star Wars franchise despite his short screentime in the original trilogy. When news regarding The Mandalorian series came out, fans were in the hopes to see the bounty hunter in the show. The series' executive producer Dave Filoni tells us if we'd actually get to see Boba Fett in The Mandalorian soon.
Filoni recently spoke with Entertainment Tonight regarding the possibility of seeing the bounty hunter in the series. He was also asked whether or not Boba Fett was actually the character seen in the pilot episode. He provided a bit of a vague answer though, he said, "Interesting. I mean, there's always possibilities." He also claimed that they do not want to limit their storytelling in any way. Filoni added,
"Who knows? It would be really hypocritical for the guy who helped bring Darth Maul back to life after he got cut in half, for me to say that somebody can't survive a Sarlacc pit, but I don't know."
That being said, he pointed out that anything's possible in the Star Wars universe. He thinks when fans love something or someone, it "fuels the possibility and the believability." For now, he's suggesting that Boba Fett won't be appearing in the near future but there is a possibility. "So who knows? But right now, we got Mando," Filoni stated.
If fans really want to see Fett in the show, it is likely that he could be featured in some way. That being said, obviously, the series is dedicated to the Mandalorian, but it would be epic to see Boba Fett even in an episode or two, or maybe even encounter Pedro Pascal's character.
