Before their heartfelt reunion in The Book of Boba Fett, it felt like forever since we last saw Mando and Baby Yoda together and for quite some time, a lot of us didn't know what the future would hold for Star Wars' new dynamic duo.

Thankfully, Lucasfilm finally ended our longing for the Din Djarin and Grogu dynamic, and in The Book of Boba Fett, the Force-wielding creature finally decided to carve his own path with The Mandalorian and reject Luke Skywalker's offer to become the first student of the Jedi Academy.

Seeing the two get separated during the finale episode of The Mandalorian Season 2 was truly painful to watch for a lot of people and unsurprisingly, lead star Pedro Pascal shares the same sentiment. Appearing during the special Mandalorian panel at the recently-concluded Star Wars Celebration, Pascal revealed that being away from Grogu was a scary feeling.

He said: "It was scary, wasn’t it? To be separated like that." Pascal added: "Jon (Favreau) and Dave (Filoni) called me, and they told me that they would be bridging seasons two and three with The Book Of Boba Fett, as far as Mandalorian and Grogu were concerned. I just thought that was brilliant."

With the upcoming third season setting the stage for a duel between Mando and Bo-Katan Kryze for the right to rule the Mandalore throne, the threats against the Child just got bigger. Now, rumor has it that Grogu will be sporting his own beskar armor in Season 3 and it looks like the lovable fellow will once again find himself in a world of trouble now that he's back with Din.

Season 3 of The Mandalorian is scheduled to hit Disney+ in February 2023.
