Star Wars Celebration is starting to heat up with several reveals and announcements finally coming in. But arguably, the thing Star Wars aficionados are most excited about is getting updates regarding the third season of The Mandalorian which undoubtedly is the franchise's flagship series.
Good news because our first look at the upcoming season which hits Disney+ sometime in 2023 was just released at the Anaheim spectacle.
Now, if you may recall, Season 2 ended with a massive cliffhanger as it was revealed that in order for Bo-Katan to once obtain the darksaber, she and Mando will have to battle over the legendary weapon and the right to rule the Mandalore throne.
It turns out that Bo-Katan will be playing a villain-like role in Season 3 as suggested by the teaser which debuted during Day 1 of the 2022 Star Wars Celebration. The teaser also sees the character, played by Katee Sackhoff sitting atop a throne with her new look.
According to a scoop from The Direct, the said footage was only played for attendees of the spectacle and as it stands, there's no word yet when it will be released online but chances are, we're getting it sooner rather than later.
