It goes without saying that Luke Skywalker has always been the undisputed face of Star Wars and there's simply no two ways about it. It's also quite astonishing how Mark Hamill's beloved character has continuously influenced the franchise even post-Skywalker saga.

The Mandalorian's second season blew fans away when the Jedi Master made a surprise appearance to aid Mando and his crew against Moff Gideon and the Dark Troopers. The jaw-dropping sequence was made possible with Lucasfilm's de-aging technology and while his first MandoVerse cameo was undeniably sloppy, The Book of Boba Fett was able to make drastic improvements to the CGI.

However, despite the cool feat, some fans were initially suspicious about Hamill's true involvement in The Mandalorian Season 2, with many of them claiming that the 71-year-old acting legend wasn't present during filming. A featurette was later released by Disney revealing that Hamill, with the help of a stand-in actor, was actually involved in the cameo.

On Twitter, Hamill retweeted a behind-the-scenes image of him filming his much-talked-about cameo, once again disproving some of the fans' initial doubts that he was involved in Luke's epic comeback.

He wrote: "This is for those who claimed the character was accomplished exclusively with CGI, without my participation. #BeenThere_DoneThat". Check it out here:

To give you a refresher, The Book of Boba Fett saw the end of Luke and Grogu's shortlived partnership and it seemed to indicate that the Jedi Master was done with the MandoVerse. However, the interaction between him and Ahsoka Tano left fans wanting more so I guess it's safe to say that Luke could make an appearance in the Ahsoka series.

The Mandalorian's first two seasons are available to stream on Disney+.
