The multiverse concept has seemingly been overplayed in Hollywood but studios keep utilizing it. Major studios have added multiversal elements to their storytelling through films such as Marvel's Spider-Man: No Way Home and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and the upcoming standalone The Flash movie from DC.

Now, the question on everyone's mind is, will Star Wars actually follow suit and reveal that multiple universes and realities also exist in a galaxy far, far away? It looks like it's possible and The Mandalorian's Carl Weathers may have spoiled the franchise's future plans to enter the Multiverse.

On Twitter, the Greef Karga actor hyped up the official poster for Season 3 but what seemed to be a normal post sparked speculation from the fandom. If you'll pay close attention to his caption, Weathers said he loves being part of the Star Wars "Multiverse". Is he trying to tell us something?

The actor wrote: "Come on, ya'll!!! This Mandalorian poster is too cool! Love being part of the Star Wars Multiverse. March 1, 2023, baby. #GreefKarga #BePeace" Check it out here:

Of course, it might have been an honest mistake from Weathers and a simple error that he wasn't able to correct simply because Twitter still doesn't allow its users to edit out a post. That said, the idea of Star Wars diving into the multiverse is definitely an interesting prospect.

However, I don't see it happening anytime soon because there's just too much risk trying to incorporate multiversal elements now. Obviously, it will have serious ramifications for the sequel trilogy and changes everything we thought we knew about Star Wars. It's an interesting thought to ponder.

The third season of The Mandalorian is hitting Disney+ on March 1, 2023.
