A lot of fans are still buzzing about Mark Hamill's jaw-dropping return as Luke Skywalker in the epic Season 2 finale of The Mandalorian but most of them often overlook the fact that his stand-in actor Max Lloyd-Jones who did most of the fight sequences in the episode actually delivered a stellar performance as Hamill's body double.

The latest edition of Disney Gallery which focuses on the grand finale of The Mandalorian Season 2 gave fans a more in-depth look at the process of bringing a young, post-Return of the Jedi Luke Skywalker back to life on the small screen and you'd be astonished at how everything went down, from the casting process to the way Hamill and Lloyd-Jones pretty much "merged" to make it happen.

After seeing the episode, fans took to Twitter to shared how impressed they were with the actor. Some even expressed their desire to see more of Lloyd-Jones as the famed Jedi Master in future episodes of The Mandalorian and possibly other spinoff projects. Apparently, even Hamill was impressed with his stand-in actor and even thought to himself that they shared quite the resemblance. Check out the reactions below:

I gotta say, I failed to see it initially but the more I look at Max Lloyd-Jones, the more I am convinced that he'd actually be the perfect choice to become Hamill's official successor and play the character in the MandoVerse moving forward. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what Lucasfilm's next move would be but I wouldn't be shocked if he stayed.

Meanwhile, The Mandalorian Season 3 is expected to drop in early 2022.
