A few days removed from the awesome The Mandalorian's Season 2 finale and it still has the entire Star Wars fandom buzzing and understandably so. Chapter 16: "The Rescue" was home to several goosebump-inducing moments and that includes the epic team-up featuring the badass women of the show — Cara Dune (Gina Carano), Fennec Shand (Ming-Na Wen), Kosta Reeves (Sasha Banks), and Bo-Katan Kryze (Katee Sackhoff).
After watching the action-packed finale, fans couldn't help but point out the similarity of The Mandalorian's female team-up scene to Avengers: Endgame's "divisive" Women of Marvel sequence which rubbed a lot of people the wrong way. The only difference is, people were genuinely pleased with how Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, and Peyton Reed handled the scene. Check out some of the reactions here:
I'm not gonna lie, seeing Cara, Fennec, Kosta, and Bo-Katan join forces in the finale was pretty dope and it sure erased the bitter taste Avengers: Endgame's A-Force scene left in my mouth. Now, I'm pretty sure the creative minds behind The Mandalorian made sure not to repeat the same mistakes the Marvel Studios blockbuster committed and the pay-off was absolutely fantastic. It actually makes me wish that we'll get to see more of them in future seasons of the show. Heck, I'd even be down to witnessing an all-female spin-off starring all four of them.
All episodes of The Mandalorian Season 2 are available via Disney+. Meanwhile, Fennec Shand will return in The Book of Boba Fett, set for release in late 2021.
