The Mandalorian fans weren't particularly thrilled when Season 3 of the hit Star Wars show started directing its focus away from Din Djarin, the character who has headlined the series since the beginning.

While Din was still presented as a major player in the third season, it was evident after two episodes that the show will revolve around Bo-Katan Kryze's own Mandalore arc and eventual redemption.

Fans weren't receptive to the changes made to the show's narrative simply because many of them felt Pedro Pascal was being sidelined in his own show.

Well, aside from The Mandalorian wanting to give Bo-Katan her long overdue spotlight, the decision to make her Season 3's central figure has something to do with the show's main title itself, and according to Rick Famuyiwa, it no longer belongs to Pedro Pascal's character.

In the latest Disney Gallery episode centered on the making of The Mandalorian Season 3 (via ComicBook), the director and producer basically confirmed that the show's title no longer pertains to just one character.

He explains: "Bo, in many respects this season, is also The Mandalorian because it's so much about her story and her journey and her, sort of, initial ideas of going back and bringing her people back together that got derailed after she lost the Darksaber."

Despite the drastic creative changes the show underwent, it now looks like the focus will revert back to Mando with Season 4 expected to see him take on a brand new adventure outside of Mandalore, potentially serving the New Republic as one of its newest allies.

Hopefully, the next season will bring some momentum back to the show.

All three seasons of The Mandalorian are available to stream on Disney+.
