I think it's safe to say that the unprecedented success of The Mandalorian caught the folks over at Lucasfilm off guard and now, the series is regarded by a lot of fans as the catalyst responsible for reinvigorating the entire Star Wars franchise. Now, it's already evident that both Disney and Lucasfilm are capitalizing on the show's popularity and the expansion of the so-called "Mandoverse" is enough proof that they're going all-in with it.

Now, considering both Marvel Studios and Lucasfilm are under the Disney umbrella, it isn't so surprising how actors are crossing over from one brand to another to do projects and it's only a matter of time before an MCU star joins the franchise. *coughs Sebastian Stan*

Speaking of, Lucasfilm concept artist Brian Matyas who recently worked on The Art of The Mandalorian book reveals awesome new concept artworks of character designs that presumably would've made it to the hit Disney+ show. Interestingly, one of the designs (via The Direct) features the late Chadwick Boseman wearing an outfit that carries the signature Star Wars style. You can check out the image below:

Matyas didn't exactly go into detail about the said design. If anything, he may have just used the likeness of the Black Panther star for a random pitch but it's also safe to assume that the idea of Boseman joining the Mandoverse was once entertained by Lucasfilm. Now, that would have been mindblowing and given that Boseman is a phenomenal actor, I'm sure he would've blended in really nicely in the Star Wars universe. It's a shame we never got to see it go down.

The Mandalorian Season 3 will begin production this month.
