The Mandalorian: Christopher Lloyd Plays Coy on Season 3 Involvement

There's no denying that The Mandalorian features an astonishing collection of actors and just when you thought the cast couldn't get any bigger, the upcoming third season of the hit Star Wars spinoff series is bringing in another legend to the fold in a mysterious guest role.

In case you haven't heard yet, screen legend and Back to the Future icon Christopher Lloyd has been added to the cast of the series and as it stands, a lot of mystery surrounds the actor's involvement in the Star Wars franchise. Already no stranger to the science-fiction genre, Lloyd is without a doubt a good get for the show.

However, don't expect him to spill details about his role in Season 3 because according to him, he's playing by Disney's rule when it comes to secrecy. When asked about it during his appearance at the Fanboy Expo in Knoxville, the Doc Brown actor tried playing it coy and said: "We were all sworn to secrecy… So, I don’t know!"

Meanwhile, reports are now claiming that Lucasfilm has already begun production for The Mandalorian Season 4 and according to a new listing, cameras could begin rolling for the project as early as September. That is five months ahead of Season 3's release and by the looks of things, there's a good chance we'll get the fourth season by the end of 2023.

The Mandalorian's third season is expected to hit Disney+ in February 2023.
