A new project listing from Production Weekly (via ComicBook) from August 11 reveals that the fourth season of the hit Star Wars spinoff series is already in production.

It's worth noting though that the said listing doesn't specify when the project begins filming but considering it already seems to be in production, it would be safe to assume that cameras could begin rolling before the year ends. As it stands, Disney and Lucasfilm have yet to confirm anything so it's still best to take the listing with a grain of salt.

The great thing about this new information is, with Season 3 expected to hit Disney+ in February next year, this could very well mean that we won't have to wait that long to see the fourth season. There's a massive two-year wait between The Mandalorian Season 2 and 3 and if Season 4 could begin filming as soon as possible, fingers crossed we could be looking at a 2024 release for it.

The first two seasons of The Mandalorian are available for streaming on Disney+.
