Since the start of The Mandalorian, we all knew that Grogu had something special in him and as the series progressed, viewers slowly learned about his ability to use the Force. This is why in Season 2, it came as no surprise how Luke Skywalker showed up during the finale episode, making his intentions clear that he was adamant about taking care of the youngling and teaching him the ways to the Force.

While it initially seemed like the show's creatives were planning to give Grogu a cookie-cutter arc by turning him into the next Jedi, The Book of Boba Fett pretty much sealed the Child's fate as he refused to stay in Skywalker's Jedi Academy. Instead, Baby Yoda went back to Din Djarin and joined his journey to the Mandalore throne.

The latest chapter of The Mandalorian, titled "The Foundling" marked the beginning of Grogu's training to become the next Mandalorian warrior. After engaging in a training exercise where he beat Paz Vizsla's son Ragnar, the Armorer created a beskar plate for the Child which bears the Mythosaur symbol. It looks like there's no turning back for Grogu now.

Long before Grogu made his decision to abandon the Jedi Academy, there have been persistent theories suggesting that instead of going the Jedi route, he'll become a Mandalorian much like Din Djarin. Well, after this week's episode, there's no more doubt that Grogu is on his way to becoming a bounty hunter, and a Force-wielding one at that.

The latest episode of The Mandalorian Season 3 is now streaming on Disney+.
