We're only a few months away from the release of The Mandalorian Season 3 and there's no doubt that it promises to be even bigger than the first two seasons of the hit Star Wars spinoff series. We already have a gist of what to expect from the third season, thanks to the hair-raising Season 2 finale but it turns out that Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni's plans for Season 4 will dial things up to eleven.

Making Star Wars reports that the dynamic duo's plans for the fourth season of The Mandalorian are quite massive, with the show serving as the MandoVerse's first official crossover event. According to the outlet's scoop, the things that will transpire in the Skeleton Crew and Ahsoka which are reportedly both set in a region called "New Beyond" will have direct implications on the events of The Mandalorian's fourth season.

It also seems like the crossover's big bad will be none other than Grand Admiral Thrawn, who is expected to make his live-action debut in Ahsoka. As it stands, nothing official has been set in stone so of course, it's still best to take this report with a Death-Star-sized grain of salt.

It's worth mentioning that there have been serious rumblings over the last couple of months that Lucasfilm is already planning the end of The Mandalorian. The new rumors surrounding the show and the massive MandoVerse event seem to indicate that Season 4 could be the last time we'll see Din Djarin and Grogu, at least for the foreseeable future but of course, that remains to be seen.

The Mandalorian Season 3 is premiering on March 1, 2023, exclusively on Disney+.
