We all know how Star Wars has greatly influenced a lot of major nerd franchises that came after it but sometimes, it's actually the other way around. Who would've thought that some of The Mandalorian's key sequences were actually inspired by a pivotal Marvel film that pretty much kickstarted the entire MCU craze some 10 plus years ago? According to actress Emily Swallow, who played The Armorer in the show's first season, Jon Favreau's Marvel influence was in full display in some of the scenes she shared with lead star Pedro Pascal and it somehow worked.

Getting into detail during a recent interview with the Star Wars Holocron blog, Swallow revealed that Favreau based her beskar forging scenes on the first Iron Man film. She said: "When we were shooting [the armor crafting scene], Jon...wanted them to have the same feel as the sequences in Iron Man...I knew I was in good hands because that was just so exciting...when he's making his armor."

Of course, we're all aware by now that Favreau was the man responsible for the creation of the first Iron Man film which pretty much launched the Marvel Cinematic Universe and it's great to see him apply little touches of what he learned in the MCU to the already established Star Wars universe. Now, since his directorial duties for Marvel Studios look to be over, it's also amazing to see how hands-on he is with TheMandalorian and it definitely showed considering the Star Wars spinoff series debuted last year to much fanfare and now, we're already about to dive into its second season.
