Following its surprise Crunchyroll release, the new anime series The Magical Revolution of the Reincarnated Princess revealed its official episode count.
This new fantasy anime was confirmed to be a 1-cour show with a standard episode count via its official website.
Specifically, the website listed the anime’s upcoming Blu-ray release, revealing how many episodes it will have.
The Magical Revolution of the Reincarnated Princess' Trending Debut
The Magical Revolution of the Reincarnated Princess and the Genius Young Lady (or Tensei Oujo to Tensai Reijou no Mahou Kakumei in Japanese) is a fantasy anime that didn’t get much hype going into the Winter 2023 season.
This is because the show’s streaming release outside Japan wasn’t revealed until the last minute. Crunchyroll only confirmed that it will stream the show a day before the release of Episode 1.
Despite the surprise reveal, the anime’s first episode proved to be a hit as it generated lots of discussions online, indicating that the light novel source material had a sizeable following even before the anime’s release.
In fact, shortly after its premiere, the show’s official hashtag trended on Twitter with over 16k tweets.
Because of this, it’s possible that The Magical Revolution of the Reincarnated Princess will become one of the season’s surprise hits.
Based on the initial impressions of viewers, the anime’s appeal partly lies in its yuri premise. This makes sense given that there’s a significant anime audience for yuri titles.
Many also noted that the show’s main character is reminiscent of Chisato from Lycoris Recoil, one of the most popular shows of 2022.

The Magical Revolution of the Reincarnated Princess Episode Count
The Magical Revolution of the Reincarnated Princess is made by Diomedéa, a prolific anime studio that not everyone might be familiar with.
The said studio is behind works such as Parallel World Pharmacy, Domestic Girlfriend, and Kantai Collection, among others.
Most of the studio’s works are 1-cour anime, and this new fantasy yuri anime is no exception.
Specifically, The Magical Revolution of the Reincarnated Princess will have 12 episodes, which was revealed in the listing for its upcoming Blu-ray release.
The anime is going to be released in two Blu-ray volumes with six episodes each. These volumes will be released in March and May 2023, respectively.
In the meantime, you can watch the next episode of The Magical Revolution of the Reincarnated Princess when it streams next week on Crunchyroll as part of the platform's Winter 2023 lineup.
