Each of the creatures have their own stronghold with the elves on the forests, the dwarves on the mines, men on the fields, and the Harfoots on their own kind. Then again, what better way to have a story without trouble, right?

Sauron went to Mount Doom and made One Ring in secrecy as he wanted to bind the Elves. Those who has the Three felt it when Sauron wore it and they hid theirs, causing a search that would lead to The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power.
