The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power introduced the orcs in the Second Age of Middle-earth as they infiltrate the Southlands town of Tirharad with one of them going through the house of Bronwyn via their floorboards. Bronwyn and her son were both forced to fight.

In an interview with ComicBook.com, the actress playing Bronwyn, Nazanin Boniadi, reveals what if feels like to face an orc where she shares how it has pushed her to her limits and how scary the orcs are when seen upclose.

Boniadi feels privileged to be part of the scene, "There is an incredible scene that I felt very privileged to do to be a part of in episode two for which I trained an awful lot to get to that point of strength and stamina and stunt ability that I've never done before."

Boniadi also shares how the orcs prepared for the scene, "The actor playing the orc, I have to say, just all of the actors playing orcs, the longest time in the makeup chair, they couldn't really go to the bathroom all day because of their costumes."

"It's very, very challenging for them, and also extremely frightening. I mean, very believable that that makeup and costume," Boniadi adds.

Boniadi admits what she feels facing an orc in her life, "It was very empowering, I won't lie. That was the moment I was sort of like, yeah, this little thing, meaning myself, comes out of nowhere. I don't want to spoil it for anyone, but there's more to Bronwyn than meets the eye."

Battalions of Orcs have wreaked havoc during the First Age and while their numbers died down to a few before the Second Age started due to the War of Wrath, they remain to be terrifying creatures ravaging Middle-earth.

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power is expected to see more of the Orcs and the town of Tirharad and hopefully reveal why the fearsome orcs are infiltrating the Southlands.

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Episode 3 arrives on September 9, 2022. Episodes 1 and 2 are now streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
