Star Wars: The Last Jedi Director Rian Johnson Teases Trailer for His Next Film 'Knives Out'

Star Wars: The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson was given his own Star Wars trilogy to work on, but for now he's busy on his next movie called Knives Out. As it turns out, we're finally getting a trailer tomorrow for the film, and Johnson himself has put up this teaser:

Here's a short plot synopsis for the movie:

A detective investigates the death of a patriarch of an eccentric, combative family.

The movie is said to be closer to the vein of Johnson's earlier work like Looper and Brick, but if Johnson himself isn't enough to entice you, I'm sure you'll be impressed with the cast he's assembled for the movie. Besides Daniel Craig and Michael Shannon, the film also stars the likes of Jamie Lee Curtis, Toni Collete, Katherine Langford, LaKeith Stanfield, Ana de Armas, and Chris Evans among others. Even Star Wars' Frank Oz is included in the cast list, but for now, we don't know who he's going to play.

For now, I honestly don't know how to react to the film until we get the trailer. I only really became of Johnson after The Last Jedi. Before that, I thought his movies were just fine. Hopefully, with Knives Out, everything turns out well. I would hate it if this gets a bad reception then he gets fired from working on Star Wars—basically what happened with original Episode IX director Colin Trevorrow, who was said to have been fired after negative reception for The Book of Henry.

Knives Out is set to hit theaters Nov. 27, and the trailer drops tomorrow.
