Wonder Woman 1984 may be dividing fans all around the world right now but it can't be denied that Pedro Pascal is absolutely magnificent in it as the devious and control freak Maxwell Lord. Apparently, WW84 serves as a full-circle moment for Pascal as it wasn't the first time he appeared in the DC Universe. A lot of people aren't aware of it but Pascal was actually part of the canned Wonder Woman TV series from 2011.

In a recent interview with Variety, Pedro shared how ecstatic he was when he got cast in the 2011 series opposite Adrianne Palicki. "It was like a dream come true. David E. Kelley's influence on television when I was freshly out of college was so huge, and I watched every episode of Friday Night Lights. I also thought that whether it was good or not, it would definitely get picked up. So that would change my financial situation significantly, even if it was half a season before it got canceled. But it didn't even get picked up. I went back to procedurals, you know, "CSI" and such. Had a pretty bad year after that interest in terms of very sporadic work," The Mandalorian star shared.

This new bit came as a surprise to a lot of fans who are only finding out just now that the Maxwell Lord actor shares a lot of history with the Wonder Woman franchise. Check out some of the reactions below:

Very few people have seen the infamous Wonder Woman pilot from 2011 and I guess it was destined to fail from the beginning. Thankfully, it didn't dishearten Pascal and he was still pretty game to take on the role of Maxwell Lord in Patty Jenkins' film version of the iconic DC character. Considering the fact that he didn't die in WW84, the door is still wide open for Lord to return in Wonder Woman 3. The only question is, will he go back to his villainous ways?

Wonder Woman 1984 is now streaming on HBO Max.
