Earlier this month, it was announced that Warner Bros. and Fathom Events are teaming up for a three-night event to screen the Extended Editions of The Hobbit trilogy on the big screen, and as previously rumored, the new version for the third installment, The Battle of the Five Armies, was confirmed to be Rated-R.
A trailer for the Extended Edition of the entire trilogy has been released, and it shows never-before-seen footage. Watch the trailer here:
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey will screen on October 5th, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug will be shown on October 7, and The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies will hit theaters on October 13.
