The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies Extended Edition Confirmed To Be R-Rated

Earlier this month, we reported the rumor that the extended version of The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies will be Rated-R for "Some violence". The release of the spects for the upcoming DVD/Blu-ray today confirmed that the film is indeed slapped with an R-rating label.

This is making me wonder what kind of violence gave this version an R-rating. This could be a marketing tactic to get fans to discover its mature content, but who knows? I'd probably get the Extended Edition if it involved a scene with Evangeline Lily's Tauriel being sexy.
