A new Kdrama is expected to captivate lots of viewers and fans. The Heavenly Idol is a tvN series starring Kim Min Kyu, Go Bo Gyeol and Lee Jang-Woo.
Based on the webtoon of the same name, the series depicts the story of Pontifex Rembrary, who suddenly finds himself in the body of a Kpop idol member. In this new world, he struggles to live as an idol member while looking for a way to return to the Other World.
The series premiered on tvN on February 15, 2023, and airs every Wednesday and Thursday at 10:30 PM KST. The Heavenly Idol Episode 1 received a viewership rating of 3.098%. Here is everything that happened in the new Kdrama.

The Heavenly Idol Episode 1 Recap
The Heavenly Idol Episode 1 sees Pontifex Rembrary, portrayed by Kim Min Kyu, living a life faithful to Lord Redrin and having been granted divine powers to fight against the dark forces.
After the Evil One escaped from the volcanic eruption, he began his quest to seek out Pontifex Rembrary for a battle. Rembrary was in a tight situation during the duel, but because of the prayers of the people, he seemed to have regained more powers to defeat the Evil One.
However, he suddenly finds himself in the body of a K-pop idol named Woo Yeon Woo. Woo Yeon Woo is a member of the boy group Wild Animal and is set to have a comeback stage after 1 and a half years of being on hiatus.

Kim Min Kyu becomes an idol group member in The Heavenly Idol Episode 1
Wild Animal is on the verge of disbanding, as they are called a washed-up boy group and have not had any chances to prove themselves in the industry. So, the comeback stage was a major step for them to regain themselves.
But because Pontifex Rembrary was transported to the body of Woo Yeon Woo, he had no idea what was happening. He just stood in the middle of the stage while the other members were executing their dance moves and performing for the crowd. Rembrary suddenly shouts, "I don’t know how to dance," leaving the producer of the show no choice but to take them out of the music program.

After causing an incident during the live music broadcast, it seemed to have a different effect on the group’s popularity. The director of LLL Entertainment had initially pushed for the disbandment of Wild Animal, but because Woo Yeon Woo became a trend online, she decided to extend the boys’ activities and find more interesting ways to work on their fame.
On the other hand, Rembrary tries his best to adjust to his life as Woo Yeon Woo. He attends a YouTube channel interview in the hopes of taking one step toward the resurrection of the boy group. However, he senses the Evil One’s arrival in Woo Yeon Woo’s world.
He thought that he would be able to return to the Other World if he visited the place where he woke up. But as soon as he arrived at the building, he saw the Evil One alongside two of his men. Rembrary wanted to enter the building, but he has no official pass. One of Woo Yeon Woo’s fans, Kim Dal, followed him, and there she recognized that the person in front of her is not the Woo Yeon Woo that she knows.
