The Game of Thrones Cast if They were the Same Age as the Characters in the Books

It's been known for a while that some characters in Game of Thrones have come out to be older than their counterparts in the novels; and this fun collage shows what the actors could have looked like if they were the same age as the characters in the books.

For one, Robb Stark was known to be way younger than he was in the show, but I can barely imagine him being played by a 15–16 year-old Richard Madden. I also think Joffrey wouldn't have been that much of a threat if they used Jack Gleeson at 12.

There are a lot more characters that aren't included in the chart, but I think that just boils down to not having any pictures available of them at a certain age. Daenerys Targaryen was supposed to be 13 when she was wed to Khal Drogo. I also think Maisie Williams was the right age when she was cast as Arya, but there's no stopping the actors from getting growth spurts over the course of a few years.

For now, everyone is gearing up for the eighth and last season of Game of Thrones. Afterwards, showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss are said to be developing a series of Star Wars films for the big screen. Let's hope everything turns out great.

Game of Thrones 8 premieres on HBO sometime next year.
